Regarding Ducks and Universes
Signed by the author on the title page. In 1986, the universe suddenly and inexplicably split, into Universe A and Universe B. Thirty-five years later, Felix Sayers lives in San Francisco A, and dreams of penning a mystery novel. But everything changes when his aunt dies, leaving a photo of Felix with his father - dated ten days before Felix was born. It can mean only one thing: Felix has an 'alter' in Universe B. In a panic that his mystery novel may have been written already, Felix crosses to San Francisco B, and violates the rules of both universes by snooping around his alter's life. When he narrowly escapes a hit-and-run, it becomes clear that someone knows he's crossed over - and isn't happy about it. With the help of a trio of students and a Miss Marple-style detective, Felix must uncover the truth about his alter, the events of 1986, and a wayward rubber duck, before his time in both worlds runs out.
